David A. Porter
I am a photographer who specializes in photos of old stone architecture, close-ups of rusted and weathered hardware, rustic still-lifes, abandoned mills and factories, signs, fungi, gargoyles, and sunsets over water. Most of my photos are from the US states of New York, Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine, and the province of Quebec, CA. I wanted to share some of my work here.
All of my photos are 35mm prints, taken with a Canon T80 or a Canon EOS.

Please come to my
photo show at: I have been an avid photographer for 26 years. I started carrying a small point and shoot 110 camera on fishing trips, fishing trips, mostly photographing the fish I would catch and release, and sunsets over water. As I became more interested in taking photos, I started using a simple 35 mm point and shoot, then a more sophisticated water resistant Minolta Weathermatic. Eventually I got a 35 mm SLR- a Canon T80- which I just retired after 20 years of use. I am stubbornly refusing to switch to digital- I prefer 35mm format, and now use a Canon EOS.
My formal education isn’t related to photography- I have bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology. I am a full-time psychotherapist, specializing in Chemical dependency
