A letter from Your Addiction
This letter has been circulated around AA and rehabs for years. Legend has it is was written by a man sitting in the Hole ( solitary Confinement) in New York State's Attica State Prison during the 1970's. I can't vouch for this. What I can tell you is I found a copy of it in the desk drawer of a clinic I worked at back in 2000, and I transcribed it, and have passed out many copies of it. It is a powerful source of motivation and en eye-opener. Feel free to print it and share it with anyone who needs it. Be forewarned, it is not nice and warm and fuzzy.
